Hi, my name is Annabelle and I'm a 20 year old occupational therapy student in my 1st year at ACU. I previosuly was studying nursing and successfuly completed my first year at Monash University in 2020, however, felt that career pathway was not for me. I was fortunate enough to grow up in a small town in Gippsland and have recently moved down to the beautiful Mornington Peninsula to pursue my studies. I have a strong passion for helping those in need hence why I chose to study in an area of health. I have a particular have interest in paediatric and young adult care. I've joined the Compassionate Care Network in the hope to gain experience and skills with people in need to bring with me in my future carer for something I am very much passionate about. I currently work with 1 family with twins, who have already given me invaluable experience and I hope to potentially work with more families and provide my help to them. I've worked with kids with disabilities as well as elderly and middle aged patients in my nursing placement in 2020 as a first year nurse. I look forward to working with those in the community and hope to bring as much compassion and help to those in need. I am available majority of Monday and Fridays, and with uni, can potentially work Tuesdays and Wednesday dependent on my timetable and your needs.
